Ben Passmore

Ben Passmore’s work ranges from the wild to the wildly autobiographical, containing cold takes on politics, anarchism, police brutality, history, sports, and black identity. His work has appeared in the New York Times, Believer magazine, and MOMA magazine. He is also a frequent contributor to the comics publication The Nib. His book, Your Black Friend, was nominated for the Eisner award in 2017 and won the Ignatz award for Outstanding Comic that same year. His latest graphic novel following the lives of seven Black insurrectos, These Black Arms To Hold You Up, drops in 2022.
