Contribute Your Expertise to SFWA and Nebula Events!
As a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit, our events depend on volunteer speakers to contribute their hard won experience, professional expertise, and wisdom. If you would like to join our list of potential speakers, please create or update your SFWA profile at the button below (you can, but do not need to be, a SFWA member to create a profile and volunteer):
Every few weeks we review new and updated profiles. If we decide to add you to our list of potential speakers, you will receive a short survey to collect information that will help us match you to speaking opportunities. Once we have your information, a member of our events team will reach out if we have a speaking opportunity that might be a fit for you—including opportunities at the Nebula conference!
Although we cannot guarantee that we will match you to a speaking opportunity, we are sincerely grateful to you for your willingness to be a part of SFWA, give back to the community, and help us educate and empower science fiction and fantasy writers.
If You No Longer Wish to be a Speaker or Wish to Update your Profile
If you change your mind and no longer wish to volunteer as a speaker you can remove yourself from our speakers list at any time by updating your SFWA profile. You can also update your profile to change information such as your speaking preferences, your profile picture, or your bio. If you’ve already spoken at an event and change your bio and photo, please email email@example.com so these changes can also be reflected on our website.
