Octavia Cade

Octavia Cade is a New Zealand writer with a PhD in science communication. She is particularly interested in how science is presented in speculative fiction, and a lot of her academic work reflects this. She’s sold close to 70 stories to markets including ClarkesworldF&SF, and Asimov’s; recent books include the cli-fi stories The Stone Wētā and The Impossible Resurrection of Grief. Octavia attended Clarion West 2016, and was the 2020 writer in residence at Massey University.
