Mark D. Owen

Mark hails from Oregon and started writing science fiction in 2018. After a career as a serial inventor, entrepreneur, and an engineering lecturer, with 50 patents and technical articles, and a Masters in Advanced Manufacturing Technology from the University of Limerick, Ireland and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree from Oregon State University. Mark was elected as a Pivotal Leader in the NW Cleantech community in 2012 and inducted to the OSU Engineering Hall of Fame in 2015.

As a Sci-Fi author Mark has published a short story in Simultaneous Times and is completing the second novel in the Pan Nationals. IMPACT was his debut novel which was a semi-finalist for the 2021 Cygnus Award. Mark enjoys a good strategy board game and hiking in national parks.
