K.M. Szpara is the queer and trans author of DOCILE (3/3/20); FIRST, BECOME ASHES (4/6/21); and a third novel based on his Hugo- and Nebula-nominated novelette, “Small Changes Over Long Periods of Time.” Kellan’s work explores themes like consent, agency, and identity, through inter-generational debt, magical cults, and trans vampires.
He lives in Baltimore, MD, with a tiny dog, and has a Master of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School, which he totally uses at his day job as a paralegal.
