A screenwriter, the author of many short science fiction stories like Preemptive Strike and novels like the Plastic Girl series, creator of Mary Shelley’s School for Monsters: La Llorona in the Machine – a 2023 Foreword INDIES finalist for graphic novel of the year, director of the time travel thriller, Own Worst Enemy, and founder of Wicked Tree Press, Jessica Maison grew up by the shores of Lake Michigan and currently lives in Los Angeles. Join SFWA members Madeleine Holly-Rosing (Boston Metaphysical Society) and Jessica Maison (Mary Shelley’s School for Monsters) to discuss Kickstarter best practices. (Madeleine has run 13 successful Kickstarter campaigns, and Jessica has run three.) They will discuss tips and provide guidance on how to successfully navigate the platform and how to prepare for your campaign. Afterwards, the discussion will open up for all participants to ask questions, share their own crowdfunding experiences, and discuss all things comics.
