Ben Francisco

Ben Francisco is a queer Puerto Rican writer whose stories range from magic realism to space opera and have been published in Fireside Fiction, Lady Churchill’s Rosebud Wristlet, PodCastle, From Macho to Mariposa: New Gay Latino Fiction, and others. They recently won the Indiana Review Fiction Prize, and their work has been included in several year’s best LGBTQ fiction anthologies. Outside of writing fiction, they have two decades of experience in the nonprofits and philanthropy working for immigrant rights, LGBTQ rights, and racial justice. They live with their husband, Juan, in Brooklyn.
